Capiz ombre placemat, grey
These ombré capiz shell placemats, in beautiful neutral grey, are perfect for all of your entertaining. I grew up in the Philippines and capiz was used in so many decorative objects. I adore the subtle lustre and the way it throws colours is just stunning.
The ombre effect is created by hand piecing these delicate shells into a 'fan' pattern... this really is such a wonderful showcase of hand crafted work. This grey placemat will work so well with so many of our napkin rings and table accessories - I am excited to see the combinations that you all come up with!

NOT SO TRADITIONAL HOME
We were thrilled when the editors of Traditional Home popped in for lunch at my home in Connecticut, Foxglove Meadow. This quote sums up why I do what I do!
“It’s been such a joy to have a garden. There’s something about connecting with the changing seasons and the natural elements in life. During fall and winter, I love bringing the garden inside and onto the table. There’s always something new, and tomorrow is another day. It never gets old.”
